About Us

Cope & Reynolds began as a partnership in 1998 when Shaun and Philip, both in full-time employment for other companies, bought a burnt-out shell and transformed it into a family home.  With over 20 years experience in the building trade and the satisfaction that completing this part-time project had brought, the lads decided that full-time building was definitely for them and Cope & Reynolds Construction was born.  It was during the building of our second project – 2 new 3-bed homes in Staffordshire – that we were asked to build a sizeable extension to an existing 3-bed house, the first of over 50 contracts that we have completed for customers wishing to increase the potential of their homes.

In April 2003 we became a limited company.  Our projects over the years have ranged from fitting a porch to the draughty entrance of a listed building through to a 1500 sq.ft. extension which involved demolishing over half of the existing external walls!  We build to strict industry standards and all our work comes with a customer satisfaction guarantee.  We pride ourselves on our workmanship, quality and friendly approach to every project, no matter what the size.   Everything we build, we build to last and to the highest standards.  The majority of our work comes via recommendation, so every build is important to us.

We have been registered with the NHBC since September 2002 and are members of Constructionline – the UK's register of pre-qualified local and national construction and construction-related suppliers.
We were nominated for the Staffordshire Built in Quality Awards in 2005/2006.

Other points to note:

All our sub-contractors are tradesmen who have worked with us over a number of years building up a good reputation for workmanship, timekeeping, reliability and trustworthiness. We never use anyone we can’t rely on – if they let us down, they let our customers down. Many of our tradesmen have been kept on by our clients after our work has finished – fitting new kitchens and bathrooms, electrical installations and carpentry work that wasn’t part of the original project.

We are always open to suggestions and new ideas! If the technology isn’t within our own capabilities, we can always find ‘a man who can’!
